...And when I lay hands, I cast them out
Bathed in holy water, demons be out
...And when He speaks to me, He speaks in tongues
Like so many virgins, Time has run out...
Lay hands, Lay hands

“Healed” is culmination of the first 10 years of Sikhara. It was a long term project that began as an effort to make a simple, more direct and concise expression of the Sikhara music. It grew into a stripped down and primitive version of the songs and although simple and accessible in some aspects, it also explores some unusual territory that creates an alienating feel.
The amazing group of sound engineers who devoted so much time this short album really are what made the result so significant. The sound quality is incredible and sets a new standard for any future.
This concludes in a way, a long period of ever-changing members and altering the song writing approach and performance to seek out a certain goal.
With Sikhara in it’s 14th year of existence, new paths will be taken, but “Healed” is a documentation of this distinct period.
